This session will highlight the critical role played by Mission Innovation in driving clean energy innovation as part of the energy transition. It will celebrate the new collaboration between Mission Innovation and the European Investment Bank Group through a signing ceremony. EIBG is one of the world’s largest climate providers and the collaboration is the recognition of the critical role of public multilateral developments banks, such as EIBG, in mobilising private climate finance to move innovative technologies from concept and design through demonstration to deployment. MDBs can provide the innovative blended finance solutions to share investment risks and scale up private sector investment in clean technologies.
