Donna Gittens is one of two Programme Managers at the Delegation of the European Union in Barbados with responsibility for the Climate Change portfolio. Her principle focus within this portfolio is National Climate Action; Water Resources Management, Circular Economy and Sargassum where she provides support to the countries within the area of geographic coverage of the Delegation with the implementation of EU funded climate actions. With a background in Environmental Science and Natural Resource and Environmental Management Donna has spent the last 8 years working with international development organisations supporting work under climate change, environment, and biodiversity initiatives across the Caribbean region. This work has included the provision of support for the development of NAPs and NAMAs in a number of countries. She continues to actively support the coordination of a number of ongoing climate initiatives including programmatic actions towards improved resilience and achievement of key development priorities in the Caribbean.
