Anahita is a partner at Baker McKenzie, leading the international trade practice in Germany. She is the Global Sustainability Lead Partner of the Industrials, Manufacturing & Transportation group and Head of D&I in Germany. Her practice focuses on business & human rights, sustainability in the supply chain, sanctions and export control law, foreign direct investment, compliance, ethics, and internal and external investigations. Anahita holds several leadership positions outside her firm, including Board Member of the Atlantic Bridge, Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum, elected National Committee Member at UNICEF Germany, and Advisory Board Member in profit and non-profit organizations. She also served on the Sustainable Finance Advisory Council of the German government. Anahita is a keynote speaker at high-level conferences and is regularly interviewed as an expert, e.g. by BBC, n-tv, Börsenzeitung, Handelsblatt, New York Times. Anahita has received various awards for her work, including 100 Most Influential Women in German Business (manager magazin), International Trade Lawyer of the Year 2020 (Germany), winner of the Strive Awards in the category ”Sustainability” or one of Germany’s Dealmaker 2023 (Handelsblatt).
