Wilfried Remans, Master in Law, started his career in 1991 at the Belgian Red Cross, coordinating the Humanitarian Law and International Departments. He then joined the aviation sector as spokesperson for the Belgian flag carrier Sabena until its succession by Brussels Airlines in 2001. In 2002 he joined the Belgo-Dutch bank-insurer Fortis as Global Head of the Press Office. After this, he became Head of Social Relations and Trade Union negotiations for BNP Paribas Fortis and, thereafter, its Head of CSR & Public Affairs. Since September 2021, he works for BNP Paribas Group as Head of the NEST coordination team, establishing a global virtual Network of Experts in Sustainability Transitions across the Group.
