Maída Hernández currently works as an Advisor for Digital & Green Innovation in Africa at GIZ. In her role she passionately focuses on accelerating impactful digital ventures that address critical environmental challenges through the DGIx Programme. Rooted in Germany and Colombia and shaped by living in Honduras, Egypt, South Africa and the UAE, Maída brings a diverse perspective to her work. In and beyond her professional pursuits, she identifies as a feminist, aiming to contribute to gender equality through her efforts. With a background in Nonprofit Management Maída has contributed to various GIZ programs, including the #SmartDevelopmentFund and Development Policy Forum in her professional journey. These experiences have nurtured her commitment to driving positive change. Her aim is to foster innovation and positive environmental impact with an inclusive and holistic approach.
