About

Samuel Mue is an award-winning Youth and SDG Leader with extensive experience in leadership and social impact driven to build a more sustainable future for all. With a background in International Relations having graduated with 1st Class Honors in International Relations and being awarded the Vice-Chacellor's Award for being the best student, he is passionate about ensuring that there is meaningful youth participation and involvement in the formulation of policies and implementation of projects aimed at addressing some of the pertinent issues affecting society. Samuel is keenly working on harnessing the power of food waste to build more resilient food systems and create jobs through his social enterprise called Zero Afrika and member of the Hungry for Action Youth Campaign team, and transforming education as a member of the UNESCO SDG 4  Youth and Students Network and the Executive Director of Kenya Ni Mimi. He is committed to building a network of African Sustainability Leaders who are determined to promote African development that is inclusive, equitable, and sustainable enabling Africa to compete favourably with the rest of the world. This passion allowed him to effectively serve as the Administration and Logistics Lead for the African Youth Climate Assembly, the official youth engagement mechanism for the Africa Climate Summit, which brought together over 800 young people from over 40 countries to examine how to transform the African climate discourse through youth-led climate action and innovation!
