Audrey Legat
Senior Advisor Water Governance, Deltares
About
Ms. Audrey Legat is a senior advisor on water governance and international water cooperation at Deltares. Audrey's focus is on the science-policy interface to drive science-based and multi-level systemic change in water management. For the last six years, she has acted as advisor to the Netherlands Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management around Global Agenda's and water cooperation. Since September 2022 she has taken an active role for the preparation and follow-up of the UN 2023 Water Conference, with a special focus on resilient cities.
As an active member of the Water Peace and Security Partnership, she coordinates the involvement of Deltares in the Sahel region. Her aim is to advance understanding of the link between water and the risk of conflict, with specific attention for the stakeholder engagement processes.
Audrey holds an MSc in International Relations, Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution from the Université Catholique de Louvain, and an MSc in Environmental Sciences and Policy from Wageningen University & Research.
She is a member of the OECD Water Governance Initiative and the Water Peace and Security Partnership. Furthermore, she is a Steering Committee member of the Source-to-Sea Platform.
