Alison Gilliland is a Dublin City Councillor for the Labour Party representing her local area of Artane/Whitehall. She is a member of the European Committee of the Regions and was rapporteur for the opinion 'Towards a structural inclusion of Cities and Regions in UNFCCC COP27'.She is a strong and determined voice for sustainable housing and appropriate development across the area, effective public transport and public infrastructure, well resourced emergency services and more local community/recreation amenities – green spaces, play grounds and meeting spaces with organised activities. She is also Chairperson of Dublin City Council's Strategic Policy Committee on Housing.
