He is a member of the European Committee of the Regions, more specifically he is part of COTER (Commission for Territorial Cohesion Policy and EU Budget) and is the Chair of ENVE (Commission for Environment, Climate change and Energy). He is rapporteur of the opinion 'UNFCCC COP28: the role of subnational authorities in keeping climate ambition on track'.
