About
Yulia Svyrydenko has been serving as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy since 4th November 2021.
Before becoming a minister, she served as the acting head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine, and Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Yulia Svyrydenko oversees the support and development of the Ukrainian economy during wartime; the mass mortgage program; a substantial grant program for small and medium-sized businesses aimed to combat unemployment; humanitarian demining, including the development of the Mine Action Strategy and the launch of the humanitarian demining services market; development of the Ukraine Plan within the European Commission's Ukraine Facility and much more. Her scope of work is also creating conditions for the return of Ukrainians from abroad through employment opportunities and affordable housing programs. As well as creating conditions for foreign businesses to start operating in Ukraine.
