Jasmina has been working for Slovenian ministry of the environment for more than 20 years. By profession she is a civil engineer. She started her career in the ministry as a technical expert and steering the set-up of a major industrial accident control system in Slovenia. She has been leading the preparation of strategic environmental documents. Lately she has been focusing her efforts on mainstreaming environmental and climate goals to all relevant policies. She is convinced that transformation of the society due to pressing combination of climate /bio-diversity and environmental pollution challenges is a must. And here much quicker and wiser steps need to be undertaken with due attention to be paid to social aspects of transitions. She is open to searching of innovative practice in public administration including by experimenting. She is part of the management team of the SLO Government - EIT Climate KIC cooperation project Deep Demonstration Slovenia on systems innovation for the transition to a circular, regenerative and low-carbon economy. She is a passionate cyclist.
