Dr. Isabela Schmidt Tagomori is a Researcher in the Climate, Air and Energy Department at PBL Netherlands Assessment Agency. She is a Chemical Engineer and holds a D.Sc. in Energy Planning from the Graduate School of Engineering of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (COPPE/UFRJ). Before joining PBL, she was a Doctoral Researcher at the Cenergia Lab (COPPE/UFRJ), where as part of her thesis she developed a spatially explicit model to evaluate bioenergy value chains – BLOEM. She still collaborates with the Cenergia Lab team, co-supervising Master and Doctoral students. Currently, she is project manager of ELEVATE, a Horizon Europe funded project, and project coordinator of the COMMITTED project, funded by DG CLIMA. Her main areas of research are international climate policy, sustainable development and energy systems modelling, with special interest in the connections between the energy and land systems.
