About

Stefano Signore leads the thematic work on Climate Change, Sustainable Energy and Nuclear Safety in the Directorate-General for International Partnerships of the European Commission. Mr. Signore is a qualified lawyer and joined the European Commission in 2000, after having worked 5 years at the Italian Central Bank. Between 2004 and 2008, he worked in the office of the late Commission Vice President Franco Frattini. He became Head of Unit in 2009.  Working in the Directorate-General for Home Affairs since 2010, he oversaw programming in the areas related to migration. In 2015, he moved to the area of International Cooperation, working on Migration and Employment. As of 2019, he deals with Climate and Energy files.
