About

A French and Japanese national, graduate of Sciences Po Paris in public affairs, Tomomitsu initiated his career with traineeships in the financial department of the French Ministry of Ecology and in the French Treasury office in Lisbon. In 2016, he joined the Capital Markets Department of the European Imvestment Bank, the largest supranational issuer of green and sustainability bonds with external assurance to date (EUR 84bn - across 23 currencies, also a record). At the EU Bank, he has always been working on developing the competitive edge of the Bank's green and sustainability bonds. In addition to the issuance of these bonds, he has been focussing on their gradual alignment with the EU Taxonomy Regulation and the upcoming EU Green Bond Standard, core pillars of the EU Climate Bank Roadmap. Tomomitsu is one of the three members of the Sustainable Financr Team in the Capital Markets Department. The father of the world's first green bond, issued in 2007, Aldo M. Romani, heads the team and Alexander Krauss completes the trio. Market recognition of the Sustainable Financr Team's work includes notably two awards from Environmnental Finance in 2022: Initiative of the Year and Impact Report of the Year.
