Gender and Agriculture Policy Advisor, Oxfam Belgium


Policy Advisor on Gender and Agriculture at Oxfam België/Belgique since February 2023. Louise works specifically on a EU-funded project: Supporting Women-Led Innovations in Farming and Rural Territories (SWIFT). SWIFT is an inter- and transdisciplinary project that engages in applied feminist innovation studies research. It will contribute to gender mainstreaming in agricultural and food policies by providing theoretical and practical tools. At Belgian level, she is involved in the Agrocology in Action movement to advocate for agricultural transition and more inclusive food sustems. Before, she was been a Co-coordinator at a Women Farmers Union (UAW) for 9 months Before that, she worked 4 years as a project manager on Sustainable farming project at the Walloon agricultural research center (CRA-w). Graduated as bioengineer Specialised in Gender and Participative Research
