With 20 years of experience of trans-national higher education collaboration, EU policy and programmes, development cooperation, SDGs, quality assurance and funding schemes, Annika Sundbäck has gained a broad insight through working in institutional, national, Nordic, European and global contexts. As the Leader of the Global Team at the Higher Education Unit of the Finnish National Agency for Education, EDUFI, she managed funding schemes financed by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Nordic Council of Ministers, and the EU. For the last decade, Annika held individual expert assignments related to the Bologna Process, Erasmus+, quality assurance, joint degrees, evaluation of projects and partnerships, e.g. for the European Commission, the European University Association, the Nordic Council of Ministers, the Norwegian and Finnish governments, the Swedish Foundation for Internationalization. She has offered trainings through several EU projects as well as in Japan, Israel, Eastern Europe and Central-Asia. Currently, Annika works as Seconded National Expert at the European Commission, DG International Partnerships, as Policy Officer for Education at Unit G3/ Youth, Education and Culture.
