About
Prof. Åsa Persson is Research Director & Deputy Director at the Stockholm Environment Institute. She is also Adjunct Professor at Linköping University and Chair of the Swedish Climate Policy Council since 2023. Her research focuses on the interface between international and national policy for sustainable development and climate. Previous topics include global governance of climate adaptation, environmental policy integration and planetary boundaries. She was a member of the Independent Group of Scientists preparing the 2023 UN Global Sustainable Development Report. She received her PhD in environmental policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2007.
