Inge Brees is currently working as Policy and Outreach Manager in Brussels for Search for Common Ground, one of the largest dedicated peacebuilding organisations, working in over 30 countries around the globe. Prior to this position, Inge has been Director of Policy, Advocacy and External Affairs at the European Youth Forum, the umbrella organisation of youth organisations, and she has also led the EU advocacy of CARE International, a humanitarian and development organisation with a focus on gender equality. From 2010 until 2014 she worked for VOICE, the European network of humanitarian NGOs, and from 2005 until 2009 as a Research Fellow at the University of Ghent. Inge started her career with the United Nations in Myanmar. She holds a PhD in political science from the University of Ghent, specialised in forced migration and livelihoods.
