About
Ms. Ditte Juul Jørgensen is the Director-General for Energy at the European Commission, where she leads work to ensure access to affordable, secure and sustainable energy in Europe as part of the energy transition towards climate neutrality. Prior to her appointment to Director-General for Energy, Ditte Juul Jørgensen served as Head of Cabinet for Commissioner Margrethe Vestager, leading EU competition policy. Ditte Juul Jørgensen has more than 20 years of experience in trade policy and held senior management positions in the Directorate-General for Trade of the European Commission, leading policy development and multilateral trade negotiations and enforcement. Ms. Juul Jørgensen's career also includes service as Economic Counsellor in the European Union Delegation to the United Nations in New York, as well as positions in the Directorate-General for Competition and the European Court of Justice. Ms. Juul Jørgensen is a law graduate from the University of Copenhagen and the College of Europe.
