Francesca has a PhD in Epidemiology and a background in applied climatology and meteorology. She works at the Department of Epidemiology , Lazio Regional Health Service managing the Italian national and Lazio regional heat health adaptation plan and warning systems. She has been involved in several EU and national projects looking at the health effects of extreme weather events and climate change and focusing on public health adaptation and providing evidence for policy.
