Serenella Sala is an environmental scientist with a PhD in applied ecology. She is Head of the Land Resources and supply chain assessments Unit at the European Commission Joint Research Centre. Author of more than 150 scientific publications, she has been focused her research activities on sustainability science, including on the development of methods and indicators based on life-cycle thinking and assessment.
