Carmen Maduta is a Scientific Officer at the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission, where she contributes to shaping European Union policies on building energy performance. With a background in Civil Engineering, Carmen has previously worked as a researcher in energy efficiency and sustainable development of buildings at Politechnica University Timisoara, Romania. She also has experience in the private sector, where she served as a civil engineer, undertaking tasks such as energy audits and issuing energy performance certificates for buildings.
